Refund Policy
We want you to be confident in your purchase. Here is how refunds work at BookSmith.
Unused Credits
If you have purchased credits but have not used them, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, unused credits remain in your account but are no longer eligible for a monetary refund.
Used Credits
Credits that have been used to start a generation are non-refundable. Once you initiate a book generation, outline creation, or any other content generation task, the credits consumed for that task cannot be returned.
Failed Generations
If a generation fails due to a system error on our end, the credits spent on that generation will be automatically refunded to your account. You do not need to contact support for failed generation refunds -- they are handled automatically. If you believe a failed generation was not properly credited back, please contact us.
Subscription Cancellations
If you cancel a subscription, you will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. Your account will retain access to subscription features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@booksmith.ai with your account email and a brief description of the refund reason. Include your purchase date and the amount if possible.
Processing Time
Refund requests are reviewed and processed within 5 to 10 business days. Once approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional few days for the refund to appear on your statement.
